I have been asking for something other than D&D and I think I did vote for a Star Wars game, but then I read a line either on here or the RPG Crosstalk commenting that D&D Academy plays D&D games and comments about them. I then thought to myself, “Duh”, hence the websites name “D&D” Academy.
After listening to the FAE – Deadlands podcast, I look forward to this new/different type podcast.
I do have access to this book, so I will try to prep up before the podcast so I am not too lost when I listen.
I am listening to “A New World” at the moment and having a good time listening to the content and talking.
Jonathon, We talked recently about changing the name to RPG academy for the very reason that we are starting to branch out more, but that domain name is already taken and i’m not in a position financially (or domestically – if I spent that much $ to buy it, my wife would kill me!) to purchase it for our use.
I’ve always loved D&D (it’s my first, after all) and will likely always come back to it, but we are going to continue to play other games and when possible release as podcasts.
Jonathon, This one is tricky for me. I can’t decide if I want to release these episodes as a regular THE CAMPAIGNS or as bonus episodes. Although I do want to continue releasing various games i’m not sure my core audience comes to the site to hear about Star Wars. I might find a different audience, but i’m conflicted. I’ll likely release these as ‘bonus’ episodes on saturdays (like i’m doing with FAE: DEADLANDS). Regardless, I have another 10 or so episodes of A NEW WORLD to go before these will start coming out. I’m hoping by summer they’ll start rolling out weekly; one way, or the other.
