A New World is our newest DnD Next Actual Play podcasts, DM’d by Michael. Our PC’s have been chosen by a Mysterious Benefactor to be part of an expedition through a portal that is “believed” to be a connection to a parallel and uninhabited world. While everyone on board the ships are there for their own reasons, all hope to survive and flourish in this new world. It could be a re-start for some or a way to expand fame and fortune for others. For our PC’s their job is to find someone and come back home. A difficult task as so far, no one has been able to come back through.

Is this going to be a fully made up adventure or will you be using parts of adventures from published adventures?

Well, not completely uninhabited. Last night they fought a Tursharktopis!! but it was 5 days (in-game) before they saw/fought the first thing. I wanted to get a sense of foreboding and dread of what ‘might’ be out there before they saw something. So it’s not just them sailing around. they were adrift at sea for several days before hitting land. So far they have stayed on the beach. In the next session we are going to start going into the forest. I’m two games in and I think it’s going well. Last night was better than the first night, but both were good. I was a little nervous about trying to re-capture that spark that was Made Men. I think I’m close.
Those episodes should start rolling out in a couple months. I may through up the first episode as a teaser early to see what the reaction is.

Nope. This is an original adventure I created in part based on a series of tweets by TheAngryDm. It might have some similarities to another campaign but those would be unintentional.
