Curriculum

Thank you for visiting the D&D Academy. Long-term Evan and I hope to accumulate a database of adventures, encounters, house-rules, monster-builds, class-builds and maps that other users provide. This content can then be downloaded for free so that DM’s in a time crunch can have access to free to play material similar to any other RPG modules.

You can use the form below to contact Evan or myself or to submit content for us to host.

CONTACT FORM IS TEMPORARILY TURNED OFF*********************

Due to a rediculous amount of SPAM, I have disabled the contact form until I have time to update it and add some SPAM reduction options. In the meantime, you can still e-mail Evan@dndacademy or Michael@dndacademy if you have something to submit for us to host.

You can also contact us on twitter @dnd_academy

  1. I enjoy building adventures/encounters/components of games as much as I like running games. My group tired of the frequent changes of DNDNext so we’re back to 4e for awhile. Couldn’t find anything I wanted to run for them so I’m back to creating.

Maybe you guys could discuss some guidelines and cover those on a future Dungeon Talk episode. I had several blogs in the past to do the every thing you guys wanted to do with this but it’s time consuming writing articles. ( as I’m sure you know)

I have a DDI account so I build a lot of pre-gens characters (I’m not a min-maxer though) for my group, NPCs and monster variations. Not sure how to handle those but they would make a cool DM resource.

    • Eddie,
Good suggestion. I’ll probably do a post soon and then discuss on DT next as well. Essentially we wanted the Curriculum to be a resource for free modules and adventures. We used to have another site for a while and then transitioned to this one. Since this part of the site never really took off we haven’t really done much with it, but before we had a place for single encounters, NPC’s, monsters, Pre-gen’s. If you have any of those things you’d like to share I can update the Curriculum page to give those things a home.

I really enjoy doing the podcasts, but haven’t found as much time for the articles. I’ve already got a couple other people writing some for me so I don’t have too. I’d be excited to have you become another frequent contributor. We could have you call in for a Dungeon Talk and you can discuss your adventure, give suggestions on how to run it, stuff like that.

We just started a forum on RPG Crosstalk where once we start getting more of a community involved you might be able to get some suggestions on what types of adventures or encounters to design.

As for guidelines, really all I’m asking is that it be RPG related. Doesn’t even have to be D&D, although that is the focus of our site.

If you have any other questions reply back or feel free to E-mail me at Michael@dndacademy(dot)com
Also, if you have any suggestions for questions for our Mailbag segment E-mail those to podcast@dndacademy(dot)com and i’ll enter you into our drawing for some free D&D Academy SWAG from cafepress.

      thanks!!

  2. Hey guys,
I really enjoy your podcast and your actual play is excellent.
I tried to email but it didn’t work so here we are.
I wanted to let you know that I am an improvisational actor and I play role-playing games with a couple fellow improv actors. I have my own podcast, Probably Questionable Podcast, and recently had a guest host spot on the Carpe GM Gamecast. I guess I’m emailing you guys to because you guys have mentioned improv classes a few times during your podcasts. If you guys wanted to I would totally be your Improv “expert” in the field if you ever needed it.
All in all, keep up the great work.

    PS I’m WolfishHunger on iTunes.

    • Hey Matt,
sorry about the e-mail thing. I think I turned off the contact form when the site was hacked. I’ll get it turned back on. Michael@ or podcast@ should still work though.
Anyway, thanks for the message. Evan and I have about as much experience with Improve as anyone who’s watched Who’s line is it anyway, a million times. In one of our podcasts we discussed the philosophy of saying “YES” and giving control, if we screwed something up, feel free to tell us.

I’ll definitely hit up your podcast this week. Always looking for good ones. If you’d ever like to write an article for our site on Improv, that would be fantastic. We’re also looking to have some people join us for our Dungeon Talk Podcast, maybe we could work that out sometime soon.

      thanks!!

      Michael – AKA Mumbles.
